Art camp Highlight

  • Deep-Dive Projects  Moving beyond one-off crafts, students engage in multi-step, week-long creations.

  • Diverse Mediums.  A rich exploration of clay, fiber arts, printmaking, painting, and upcycled building.

  • Creative Growth. Emphasis on problem-solving, storytelling, and gaining confidence through experimentation.

  • Community & Celebration  Days are filled with collaboration and culminate in a Thursday Art Show for families.

Camp detail 

​

  • Camp runs Monday-Thursday, 1:00-4:00pm

​

  • Registration is by the week.  Join for one adventure or come create with us all summer long.​​​

  • Each camp is capped at 10 campers, with one instructor and a studio helper supporting our small-group environment.​

  • Most artmaking time takes place inside our home studio to stay cool and comfortable during warm summer afternoons.

​

  • Art time includes both structured projects and open-ended “choice” time for creative exploration. 

​

  • Snack and movement breaks, playful games are sprinkled into each day to keep campers happy, energized, and engaged.​  Please pack snack and water bottle for your camper each day.​​

  • Campers should be comfortable following guided instructions and focus for 45 minutes at a time - this is truly a space for art lovers!

​

  • Occasionally we may offer face paint or small temporary skin art as part of camp fun. (We are professional face painters)

​

  • Each week, campers will complete several  projects, and we’ll celebrate their accomplishments with a mini art show during Thursday pickup and end the week on a high note!

Kyla’s art class is AMAZING! Our daughter has been in them since last year and loves her time each week!

Kyla goes so far beyond what I’d expected from an art group, she is thorough in every detail of what students are doing and teaches such a range of mediums that we never would have explored.

She has been thoughtful and communicative and it’s so clear that she loves what she does!

If you’re considering it, I highly recommend her class!

My daughter had the best time at Arty Critters! Mrs. Brown and her daughter Lili are amazing with the kids in their class.
 
All the classes are so unique we had trouble picking which one to start with, but chose Squishmallow class. It was adorable and fun.
 
My daughter is hooked on art now and it’s so fun to have a local (to us) option for her to pursue this hobby. And my kitchen stays clean ;) we are planning to sign up for the after school program!

Arty Critters have been a wonderful after school experience for my 9 yo. Ms. Brown teaches them real techniques (painting, multimedia, and felt needling) in a way that still feels fun.

We’ve had such a wonderful experience with this art class. The instructor is patient, encouraging, and truly gifted at helping kids feel confident in their creativity. My daughter looks forward to every class and comes home excited to show off what she’s made and explain the techniques she learned.

What really stands out is how each child’s individuality is celebrated — there’s guidance and structure, but also plenty of freedom for self-expression. The environment is positive, welcoming, and inspiring, and it’s clear how much thought and care goes into each lesson.

  • Early Bird discount ends March 15th

  • Cancellations made more than 4 weeks before camp are eligible for a full refund (minus $35 cancellation fee)

​

  • Cancellations made within 4 weeks of camp start date, you will receive a refund (minus $35 cancellation fee) only if your spot can be filled.

​

  • Cancellations made within 1 week of camp start date, you are responsible for finding someone to take your spot and handling payment directly with the family replacing you. No refund will be issued from the studio.​

​

  • No refunds for no-shows or missed hours.

​

  • Make-ups will not be offered for summer camp.

​
