TERMS & CONDITIONS
Last Updated: January 29, 2026
Welcome to Arty Critters. By enrolling your child in our classes, workshops, or camps, you (the "Parent/Guardian") agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Participation & Safety
-
Drop-off Policy: All classes are drop-off only due to limited studio space. Parents/Guardians may not remain in the studio during class unless specific accommodations have been discussed and approved in advance.
-
Arrival & Pickup: Please be on time. Late arrivals disrupt the creative flow of the class.
-
Late Pickup Fee: We offer a 10-minute grace period. After 10 minutes, a fee of $1 per minute will be charged.
-
Behavioral Expectations: We strive to support every child’s needs. However, if unsafe, aggressive, or repeatedly disruptive behavior continues after communication with the family, we reserve the right to end a student's participation. Refunds will not be issued in these cases as spots and materials are reserved in advance.

2. Refund & Cancellation Policies
-
After-School Art Club: * Cancellations incur a $25 fee.
-
Refunds (minus the fee) are available if canceled at least 1 week before the first class.
-
Within 1 week of the start date, refunds are only issued if a replacement student is found. No refunds once the session begins.
-
-
Workshops: No refunds. If Arty Critters cancels a workshop due to low enrollment (fewer than 3 sign-ups), a full refund will be issued.
-
Camps: * Cancellations incur a $35 fee.
-
4+ weeks before camp: Full refund (minus fee).
-
2–4 weeks before camp: 50% refund.
-
Within 2 weeks of camp: Non-refundable unless the spot is filled by another student.
-
-
Missed hours: No refunds for no-shows or single missed classes. As projects are cumulative, missing a class may result in an incomplete project. Makeup classes are not guaranteed.

3. Liability & Property Waiver
-
Release of Liability: Parent/Guardian understands that art activities involve the use of tools (scissors, hot glue gun, sewing needles, adhesives, etc.) and materials that carry inherent risks. By enrolling, you release Arty Critters and its owners from any liability for injuries occurring during class or on the premises.
-
Clothing & Personal Property: Paint and art supplies may stain clothing even if it's labeled washable. Arty Critters is not responsible for damage to clothing or personal items. Please dress your child in "mess-friendly" clothes.
-
Studio Property: Students are taught to care for supplies. If a student repeatedly and intentionally damages studio equipment or property despite reminders, the Parent/Guardian agrees to be responsible for the replacement cost.

4. Health & Allergies
-
Sick Child Policy: To keep our studio and families healthy, please do not send your child to class if they are unwell. This includes:
-
Fever within the last 24 hours.
-
Contagious symptoms (e.g., persistent cough, unexplained rash, or runny nose that is not allergy-related).
-
Vomiting or diarrhea within the last 24 hours.
-
If a child appears visibly ill upon arrival, we reserve the right to ask the parent to take them home for the safety of the group.
-
-
Allergy Disclosure: Parents/Guardians are required to disclose all known allergies (food, environmental, or material-based) during registration. While we do not provide snacks, some art materials (such as certain glues, clays, or pigments) may contain ingredients that affect sensitive individuals.
-
Emergency Contact: Parents must provide a working phone number where they can be reached immediately during class time in case of illness or emergency.
-
Snacks: No snacks or drinks will be provided by the studio except for water.
-
Pet Alert: Arty Critters is a home-based studio with two resident cats. While they typically do not interact with students, please be mindful of this if your child has a known cat allergy.

5. Waitlist
Joining a waitlist does not guarantee a spot. If a vacancy occurs, waitlisted families will be notified in the order they joined.
