Week 5: My New Friend- Adopt A Pet | Ages 6-12 Welcome to the ultimate week for animal lovers! This camp begins with a special Pet Adoption theme, where every project is designed around the arrival of a new family member. Throughout the week, artists will pour their hearts into making their new pets feel welcomed, comfy, and special. The experience culminates in a ceremony where each camper receives an Adoption Approved Certificate, proving they are officially ready to be the best pet owners ever!. The Signature Masterpiece Needle-Felted Pet Portraits The heart of the week is our Grand Build- a sophisticated needle-felting project where artists "paint with wool" to capture the personality of a beloved animal. This multi-session project involves: • Felt & Sculpt: Using specialized needles to interlock wool fibers into 3D features. • Texture & Detail: Learning to blend wool colors to match fur patterns and adding expressive details like sparkling eyes. • Professional Display: Mounting the masterpiece into an embroidery hoop and designing a custom frame for a high-end finish. Creative Supporting Projects While the portraits take shape, the boutique stays busy: • The Dream Pet Home: Artists will decorate a custom pet home to ensure their pets have the perfect place to play. • Pet Accessories: Campers will hand-craft essentials, including custom-designed pet collars and grooming tools made with air-dry clay. Celebrate at the Graduation & Mini Art Show On Thursday, we invite parents to arrive at 3:45 PM for our Exclusive Mini Art Show and Adoption Ceremony. Your child will proudly display their "Pet Boutique," present their official Adoption Approved Certificate, and introduce you to the new family member they've worked so hard to welcome.
Cancellation Policy
🔵Participation All classes are drop-off only 🔵Food Guidelines Please only send NUT FREE ONLY snacks with your campers. 🔵What to Bring Pack snacks and water bottle for your camper each day. (NUT FREE ONLY) 🔵What to Wear Dress for mess! Campers should wear comfy play clothes that can handle paint, glue, and colorful creativity. Some art materials may stain and that just means great art was made 🙂 🔵Class Supplies All Supplies are provided. 🔵Arrival Drop-off begins 12:45PM, camp activity starts at 1PM. We kindly ask that campers arrive on time so we can start our our day smoothly. If you're running late, please send us a quick message. 🔵Pickup A 10-minute grace period will be allowed. After that, a $1 per minute late fee will apply. Please reach out as soon as possible if there's an emergency. 🟠Enrollment • A completed Student Intake, Liability Waiver & Media Release Form is required at the checkout. 🟠Waitlist • If the camp you're interested in is full. Please fill out the waitlist form, when someone cancels or reschedules, people on the waitlist are notified in order. • Filling out the waitlist form doesn't guarantee a spot. https://www.artycritters.com/waitlist 🔴Missed time • No make-up time will be offered for camp. 🔴Summer Camp Refund Policy •Minimum 4 sign-ups required for each workshop to run. Workshop will be canceled and a full refund will be issued if fewer than 4 sign-ups. • Cancellations made more than 4 weeks before camp are eligible for a full refund (minus $35 cancellation fee) • Cancellations made within 4 weeks of camp start date, you will receive a refund (minus $35 cancellation fee) only if your spot can be filled. • Cancellations made within 1 week of camp start date, you are responsible for finding someone to take your spot and handling payment directly with the family replacing you. No refund will be issued from the studio. • No refunds for no-shows or missed hours. • Make-ups will not be offered for summer camp. • All cancellations must be submitted by email to hi@artycritters.com
