Service Description
Week 2: Sweet Shop - Is it cake? | 6-12Y Is your child a fan of “Is It Cake?” or a lover of all things colorful and sweet? Sweet Shop is the art camp where we "bake" without the oven! Using paint, sculpting compounds, and professional techniques, we’ll turn the studio into a gourmet art kitchen. The Signature Masterpiece The 3D Frosted Masterpiece Cake Our Grand Build for the week is a stunning, realistic 3D round cake that looks good enough to eat!. During this multi-day "baking" process, campers will: • Frost & Pipe: Learn to color and mix a special "frosting" compound and use piping bags to create realistic borders, swirls, and decoration. • Sculpt Gourmet Toppings: Use air-dry modeling materials to hand-sculpt custom details like delicate flowers, realistic strawberries, or even mermaid tails. • Detail & Assemble: Paint and affix their sculpted creations with acrylics and add finishing touches like faux sprinkles, gems, or glitter. The Creative Supporting Projects While our cakes "set," the kitchen stays busy with two additional sweet creations: • Dimensional Dessert Paintings: Artists will capture a gourmet dessert slice on canvas, using layered painting techniques and mixed media to create a rich, textured relief effect. • The Gourmet Sweets Box: Artists design a collection of mini-treats- from colorful donuts to chocolates- using air-dry clay. Celebrate at the Mini Art Show On Thursday, we invite parents to arrive at 3:45 PM for our Exclusive Mini Art Show. Your child will curate their own "bakery display" and walk you through their creative recipes. It’s the perfect "proud parent" moment to end the week!
Cancellation Policy
🔵Participation All classes are drop-off only 🔵Food Guidelines Please only send NUT FREE ONLY snacks with your campers. 🔵What to Bring Pack snacks and water bottle for your camper each day. (NUT FREE ONLY) 🔵What to Wear Dress for mess! Campers should wear comfy play clothes that can handle paint, glue, and colorful creativity. Some art materials may stain and that just means great art was made 🙂 🔵Class Supplies All Supplies are provided. 🔵Arrival Drop-off begins 12:45PM, camp activity starts at 1PM. We kindly ask that campers arrive on time so we can start our our day smoothly. If you're running late, please send us a quick message. 🔵Pickup A 10-minute grace period will be allowed. After that, a $1 per minute late fee will apply. Please reach out as soon as possible if there's an emergency. 🟠Enrollment • A completed Student Intake, Liability Waiver & Media Release Form is required at the checkout. 🟠Waitlist • If the camp you're interested in is full. Please fill out the waitlist form, when someone cancels or reschedules, people on the waitlist are notified in order. • Filling out the waitlist form doesn't guarantee a spot. https://www.artycritters.com/waitlist 🔴Missed time • No make-up time will be offered for camp. 🔴Summer Camp Refund Policy •Minimum 4 sign-ups required for each workshop to run. Workshop will be canceled and a full refund will be issued if fewer than 4 sign-ups. • Cancellations made more than 4 weeks before camp are eligible for a full refund (minus $35 cancellation fee) • Cancellations made within 4 weeks of camp start date, you will receive a refund (minus $35 cancellation fee) only if your spot can be filled. • Cancellations made within 1 week of camp start date, you are responsible for finding someone to take your spot and handling payment directly with the family replacing you. No refund will be issued from the studio. • No refunds for no-shows or missed hours. • Make-ups will not be offered for summer camp. • All cancellations must be submitted by email to hi@artycritters.com
