Service Description
Week 6: Secret Garden- Butterflies, Birds & Blooms | Ages 6-12 Step into a vibrant, blossoming garden where art and nature collide! Our final week of camp is a celebration of color and texture, focusing on the delicate beauty of floral life and our feathered friends. The Signature Masterpiece Dip-Dyed Floral Collage The heart of the week is our Grand Build- a stunning, large-scale floral explosion that uses color-bleeding techniques to create realistic petals. Artists will: • Master the Dip-Dye: Use specialized techniques to dip-dye absorbent papers into vibrant watercolors, watching the colors blend and bloom. • Architect the Bloom: Learn to fold, cut, and layer dyed papers to create a variety of 3D flower shapes. • Mixed-Media Composition: Arrange and mount handcrafted flowers onto a large-scale background, adding details like hand-painted stems and shimmering accents. Creative Supporting Projects While the garden grows, we’ll dive into two additional nature-inspired creations: • Feathered Bird Sculptures: Artists will construct a three-dimensional bird friend using armatures, plaster, and acrylic paint to bring their personality to life. • Secret Garden Butterfly Canvas: Artists will paint a graceful butterfly on canvas, then "decorate the wings" by cutting symmetrical shapes from vibrant craft papers and fabric to create one-of-a-kind patterns. Celebrate at the Mini Art Show On Thursday, we invite parents to arrive at 3:45 PM for our Exclusive Mini Art Show. Your child will curate their own floral gallery and introduce you to the feathered and winged friends they’ve created. It’s the perfect, colorful finale to an incredible summer of art!

🔵Participation All classes are drop-off only 🔵Food Guidelines Please only send NUT FREE ONLY snacks with your campers. 🔵What to Bring Pack snacks and water bottle for your camper each day. (NUT FREE ONLY) 🔵What to Wear Dress for mess! Campers should wear comfy play clothes that can handle paint, glue, and colorful creativity. Some art materials may stain and that just means great art was made 🙂 🔵Class Supplies All Supplies are provided. 🔵Arrival Drop-off begins 12:45PM, camp activity starts at 1PM. We kindly ask that campers arrive on time so we can start our our day smoothly. If you're running late, please send us a quick message. 🔵Pickup A 10-minute grace period will be allowed. After that, a $1 per minute late fee will apply. Please reach out as soon as possible if there's an emergency. 🟠Enrollment • A completed Student Intake, Liability Waiver & Media Release Form is required at the checkout. 🟠Waitlist • If the camp you're interested in is full. Please fill out the waitlist form, when someone cancels or reschedules, people on the waitlist are notified in order. • Filling out the waitlist form doesn't guarantee a spot. https://www.artycritters.com/waitlist 🔴Missed time • No make-up time will be offered for camp. 🔴Summer Camp Refund Policy •Minimum 4 sign-ups required for each workshop to run. Workshop will be canceled and a full refund will be issued if fewer than 4 sign-ups. • Cancellations made more than 4 weeks before camp are eligible for a full refund (minus $35 cancellation fee) • Cancellations made within 4 weeks of camp start date, you will receive a refund (minus $35 cancellation fee) only if your spot can be filled. • Cancellations made within 1 week of camp start date, you are responsible for finding someone to take your spot and handling payment directly with the family replacing you. No refund will be issued from the studio. • No refunds for no-shows or missed hours. • Make-ups will not be offered for summer camp. • All cancellations must be submitted by email to hi@artycritters.com
