Week 4:Out at Sea- Biome World Builder | Ages 6-12 Does your child love the mystery of the deep blue and the treasures found along the shore? Out at sea is an immersive coastal expedition where we bring the beauty of the ocean to life through large-scale building, fluid painting, and sculpture. The Signature Masterpiece Aquatic Biome Builder Map The heart of the week is our Grand Build- a multi-dimensional coastal map that brings a seaside ecosystem to life. Artists will: • Engineer the Coastline: Build a custom cardboard base and use spray-foam techniques to sculpt organic landforms like rocky caves, coral reefs, and seaside cliffs. • Master Aquatic Textures: Use acrylic paints, pouring medium to create realistic water and shorelines. Add tactile details like yarn "seaweed" and pool-noodle "coral" to make the biome pop. • Populate the Tidepool: Hand-sculpt sea creatures, from starfish to sea turtles, using modeling clay. Creative Supporting Projects While our biomes grow, we’ll explore two additional coastal-themed projects: • Beach Party Paint Pour: A high-energy fluid art session! Artists will mix custom blue gradients and use a "blow-painting" technique with straws to create realistic crashing waves. • Sandy Treasure Box: Campers will design and decorate a "Treasure Chest" to house their weekly finds, filling it with hand-sculpted clay seashells, marbled starfish, and gems. Celebrate at the Mini Art Show On Thursday, we invite parents to arrive at 3:45 PM for our Exclusive Mini Art Show. Your child will curate their own coastal display, showing off their 3D biome and glowing treasure chest. It’s the perfect "proud parent" moment to end the week!
Cancellation Policy
🔵Participation All classes are drop-off only 🔵Food Guidelines Please only send NUT FREE ONLY snacks with your campers. 🔵What to Bring Pack snacks and water bottle for your camper each day. (NUT FREE ONLY) 🔵What to Wear Dress for mess! Campers should wear comfy play clothes that can handle paint, glue, and colorful creativity. Some art materials may stain and that just means great art was made 🙂 🔵Class Supplies All Supplies are provided. 🔵Arrival Drop-off begins 12:45PM, camp activity starts at 1PM. We kindly ask that campers arrive on time so we can start our our day smoothly. If you're running late, please send us a quick message. 🔵Pickup A 10-minute grace period will be allowed. After that, a $1 per minute late fee will apply. Please reach out as soon as possible if there's an emergency. 🟠Enrollment • A completed Student Intake, Liability Waiver & Media Release Form is required at the checkout. 🟠Waitlist • If the camp you're interested in is full. Please fill out the waitlist form, when someone cancels or reschedules, people on the waitlist are notified in order. • Filling out the waitlist form doesn't guarantee a spot. https://www.artycritters.com/waitlist 🔴Missed time • No make-up time will be offered for camp. 🔴Summer Camp Refund Policy •Minimum 4 sign-ups required for each workshop to run. Workshop will be canceled and a full refund will be issued if fewer than 4 sign-ups. • Cancellations made more than 4 weeks before camp are eligible for a full refund (minus $35 cancellation fee) • Cancellations made within 4 weeks of camp start date, you will receive a refund (minus $35 cancellation fee) only if your spot can be filled. • Cancellations made within 1 week of camp start date, you are responsible for finding someone to take your spot and handling payment directly with the family replacing you. No refund will be issued from the studio. • No refunds for no-shows or missed hours. • Make-ups will not be offered for summer camp. • All cancellations must be submitted by email to hi@artycritters.com
